Salesforce is currently not officially supported. Connection is possible with generic ODBC driver. Metadata returned depends on driver version and provider.
We have tested and successfully connected to and imported metadata from Salesforce with ODBC drivers listed below. It is highly likely it will work with other drivers as well.

ODBC version: Devart for Salesforce ODBC driver 1.7.16 64-bit
Salesforce version: Professional Edition
Supported schema elements and metadata
Dataedo reads following metadata from Salesforce databases.
- Standard and custom objects
- Fields and custom fields
- Field name
- Data type with length
- Nullable
- Fields and custom fields
Data Profiling
Dataedo does not support profiling in Salesforce.
Data Lineage
Dataedo does not support data lineage in Salesforce.
Limitations
Following schema/metadata elements currently are not supported:
- Field label
- Relationship
