What to expect

Within Redash

Dataedo during import from API checks ID's of objects and build column-level lineage. It is done for following lineages:

• From Query to Visualization
• From Visualization to Dashboard

From source database

Dataedo build object-level lineage between Redash Queries and objects from other databases based on Linked Sources.

Troubleshooting

I don't see data lineage for queries, visualizations or dashboards

1. Rerun import of the source - maybe schema was imported in older version or configuration was incorrect.

I don't see data lineage from Source database

1. Make sure the source object has Linked Source with correctly assigned database
2. Rerun import of the source - maybe schema was imported in older version or configuration was incorrect.
